Valentines Day is fast approaching and as always I like to plan ahead with my makeup. I never like to faf around too much with my own makeup because, to be honest, I very rarely have the time. I wanted to share with you my go to look for Valentine's (or any date night really!) that's quick and easy for those who may be pushed for time to get ready after work, or just want a simple yet effective makeup look. I start by applying Benefit That Gal primer to add some radiance and brighten up that dull ol' skin of mine. Moving on to foundation I'll be reaching for my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up, this helps to evenly cover my skin and conceal any imperfections whilst adding a natural, dewy glow. For concealer it will be nothing other than Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. I like to apply this to my eye lids, under eye area and down the bridge of my nose, just to add a little more coverage.

I haven't been setting my full face lately, I just pop a little of the RCMA No Color Powder under my eyes and on my t-zone to set my foundation and stop it from getting super oily in those areas throughout the day. The Collection Contour Kit has been my go to as of late, it's great for sculpting those cheek bones and the highlight shade is just beautiful. I plan on going for quite a subtle contour but as always will probably go a little overboard with the highlighter (so I'm glowing like the freakin' sun). To finish off my skin, MAC Fleur Power blush adds the perfect amount of colour into my cheeks - a lovely peachy-pink toned shade that compliments the blue in my eyes. Cause that's the ideal place you want your date to be looking. Obvs.

Moving onto eyes I like to start by first filling in my brows, my trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz does the job every time, and helps me to create the perfect shape and define my natural brows. Using a concoction of Makeup Geek shadows I love nothing more than a simple warm-toned neutral smokey eye. I personally prefer an all over colour blended out, and like to keep it in a rounded shape as opposed to winging the shadow out. My faves to create this are: Beaches and Cream - all over the lid to set my concealer, Frappe - again all over the lid and up to the crease adding more and blending out each time until I get the intensity I want, and lastly Creme Brulee - I go in with this on a large blending brush and just blend out the edges to create a seamless finish. Adding just a touch of MAC Pigment in Melon to the centre of my lid just ties it all together and adds a beautiful pop of sparkle to the look.

Finishing touches to the eyes, I'll lightly apply a coat of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara followed by the gorgeous No.19 lashes by Peaches and Cream* to add volume and length to my lashes. Because they're lightweight and wispy they don't detract from the eye look I've gone for. Although it's kind of a given to go for something red or pink toned for Valentines Day, I can't say no to a nude lip, surprise surprise. So staying in my little bubble of lipstick comfort I'll be opting for MAC Velvet Teddy. This deep-toned beige lip works in harmony with almost any eye look, and when teamed up with Spice Lip Liner from Rimmel it has fab staying power. A quick spray Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and that's me done! Oh and to ensure I'm smelling sweet I'll be reaching for Michael Kors Wonderlust Eau de Parfum before I leave the house. Described as deeply romantic and with top notes of Sicilian Mandarin and Pink Pepper, a few sprays of this and I'll be good to go.

What makeup look are you planning for Valentine's Day? I hope you have a wonderful day and evening what ever you may be doing, mwah!
