MY MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOW COLLECTION

This was my first purchase of Makeup Geek eyeshadows, having never tried them before, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love them. They are extremely pigmented, super blendable and are amazing quality. I'm sure this isn't the first blog post you've read about this brand and their eyeshadows and it won't be the last!

I purchased 6 of the standard eyeshadow pans which retail at around £4.95 each. And 2 foiled shadows which retail at around £7.95 each. It was so difficult to choose when placing my first order but wanted to go for an array of everyday, wearable shades but that could also be used for more dramatic looks as well. What I love most about the shadows is how high the quality is and also the selection of shades is endless!

(Left to right)

Ice Queen | This is described as a frosty shimmery white. I love applying this onto the inner corner of my eye and also mixing with a more peach/pink tones shadow for a fab under brow highlight.

Crème Brulee | The soft medium sand colour has a velvety matte finish and texture. It's perfect for a brown smokey eye, or used to blend out harsh lines. Probably my most used shade from my collection!

Bitten | Described as a deep maroon red matte, this is great for a base shadow for a really dark all over smokey eye. So versatile and works on the majority of skin tones.

Flame Thrower | From the foiled shadows collection, this shade is described as a brightened, warm copper. And it is stunning! I love using this for dramatic looks as part of a brown smokey eye, or with softer cream shades in the crease with this shade all over the lid, for a soft, wearable look.

(Left to right)

Mocha | A deep matte brown that is just the perfect shade for darkening up a smokey eye. It is such a rich shade that is super wearable, day or night, for almost any look!

Corrupt | This is described as an intense matte black with a very subtle sparkle. If you're out off my any sort of shimmer or sparkle then don't worry, I really don't find the sparkle to be very visible at all. This is my favourite black shadow of all time.

Beaches & Cream | Described as a soft, delicate, matte peach shade. You can use it alone for a soft wash of colour that is great for a natural day look, or team it up with a darker shade in the crease.

In The Spotlight | My second shadow from the foiled shadows range, this is described as a soft pink with coral undertones. I haven't used this shadow yet for any looks but I think it's going to be great for summer daytime glam.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found my review of these shadows helpful! If you haven't tried Makeup Geek before I honestly can't urge you enough, you're totally missing out! My favourite site to purchase these from in the UK is BeautyBay.com. What are your fave MUG shadows?

  14. Such gorgeous shades! I think Creme Brûlée and Mocha would be my most used shades as I'm obsessed with nude shades at the mo! I've seen a lot of people who are really impressed with the pigment...have you tried any MAC shadows? How do they compare? xxx
