HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got spoilt rotten! I'm feeling very optimistic and ambitious as we step into 2016, the last 12 months have flown by and it's safe to say 2015 has definitely had its ups and downs. But without dwelling on the past it's time to look to the year ahead and think about what positive changes I can make that will make me happier and benefit myself and others around me in the long run. I don't normally make any resolutions because I never stick to them, but I feel these are all achievable. I hope! Here are my 2016 New Year Resolutions!

Post More | I started my blog back in April last year and since then I've tried to post once a week but sometimes life gets in the way and I've just not been able to achieve a weekly post. This year I am determined to post AT LEAST once a week, and when I can, squeeze in an extra one here and there!

Prioritise | When I get my mind focused on something, I put my all into it, and although that's a good thing, I forget about everything going on around me, even if it's really important. I tend to focus too much on getting something finished instead of prioritising what actually needs to be done first before completing the next task. I'm armed with my brand new diary, notebook and also a calendar so I have no excuse not to write anything down, forget anything or miss an important date!

Eat Healthier | I know what you're thinking.. EVERYONE wants to achieve this after Christmas but I really do mean it and I will be a healthier, fitter version of myself by the end of this year! In 2015 I had to have another operation on my stomach and without going into too much detail, I can't digest a lot of foods properly, and can only eat small portions in one go. Because of this I'm tired all the time and don't get a lot of nutrients/energy that I should. Eating better and cutting out all the crap will just help me to digest food better, leaving me not feeling bloated 24/7 and just feeling better in myself as well.

Update | It's cool, we're all friends here. It's no secret that this baby need a serious design update and shake into the 21st century! I'm not trying to make excuses, I work full time and blog on one of my days off so I want to try and put as much into my content as possible, because that is really important to me - so I easily put off updating my blog. My social media is not easily accessible and the overall design is just too basic. I want a better layout and for it to be visually exciting.

Continue My Makeup Journey | Although I'm currently self taught I do want to become qualified, I have zero savings so as soon as I have some extra pennies I'm going to start saving so I can attend my desired course. I want to practise at least one brand new makeup look every week, and try styles out of my comfort zone. I want to push my freelance business and get myself known more in my local area to help increase my experience.

Meet New People | The world of blogging and social media is full of exciting, unique, wonderful people and I really want to make more of an effort to connect with others, be that through blogger chats on Twitter or coming across someone new on Instagram. I need to put time aside for focusing on social media and connecting with others.

I'd love to hear your resolutions or anything in particular you'd like to achieve in 2016!

  3. I 100% understand where you're coming from when you say you have little time to blog.. I'm a full-time student and also work part-time. I'm aiming for 2 posts per week this year but as you say, life can get in the way sometimes! I'm actually trying to schedule and plan blog posts weeks ahead so that I'm not getting stressed about it last minute! :-) I actually downloaded my blog template for free although I'm always looking for a nicer one, haha! xx

    1. Glad you're in the same boat! Life just gets in the way and you have to prioritise things like housework and actually eating over blogging ha! That's it isn't it, planning ahead and scheduling posts is the key! Where did you get your template from? X

    1. It's just difficult to get motivation some times! I'm the same I make excuses and then make myself feel like it's okay when it's not! Best wishes for 2016! X
